Since February 2025, World Horti Center has had a branch in China, located in Ji’Nan, Shandong Province. This new international location strengthens the connection between the Netherlands and China and enhances collaboration within the greenhouse horticulture sector.

At World Horti Center China, knowledge sharing, technological research, and talent development are at the core of our mission. By working closely with our headquarters in the Netherlands and local partners, we foster innovation and develop solutions for global challenges in sustainable food production. World Horti Center in Ji’Nan includes office space, along with an innovation and training hub that contributes to the future of Chinese horticulture.

Themes

World Horti Center China offers a range of thematic areas focused on current societal and technological challenges, such as water management, sustainable food production, and crop optimisation. These thematic areas have been developed in collaboration with our partners and are directly aligned with those at our headquarters in the Netherlands.

Meeting Hub

World Horti Center China serves as a key meeting place for professionals, students, and businesses. We organise training sessions, events, and networking opportunities to promote knowledge exchange and collaboration within the sector. Additionally, the facilities in Ji’Nan include meeting rooms and event spaces, making them ideal for small conferences, business meetings, and seminars.
