World Horti Center open during ‘Kom in de Kas’

Interested neighbours are welcome to take a look at the World Horti Center.

World Horti Center offers ‘Kom in de Kas’ visitors an extensive programme in which they demonstrate what the centre means for the international glasshouse horticultural sector. For example, visitors can take a look at the practical rooms and training centres of MBO Westland. This facility for secondary vocational education houses 1,200 students and offers education in technology, trade, secretarial, services and healthcare, entry level, flower, food, horticulture, water management and business training programmes. In the glasshouses of Demokwekerij Westland, employees will give an explanation about the research involving innovative lighting, growing systems, breeding and crop protection.

The industry, represented in the innovation centre by a permanent stand, exhibits innovations in the field of glasshouse construction, energy and climate, new growing methods, technology and logistics. The colourful trade floor of Food & Flowers is where companies can tell you about the innovations in the field of health and well-being.

The open day has been created in collaboration with ‘Kom in de Kas Westland’, but has not been included in the bus route of this organisation. World Horti Center is easily accessible by bicycle. There are only limited numbers of parking spaces available for visitors who wish to come by car. The doors at Europa 1, Naaldwijk will be open from 10:00 to 16:00 on Saturday 6 April.
