Health Square

Globally, horticulture plays a crucial role in fostering health and happiness, and we believe it is time to spread this message more widely together. Together with our partners, we are highlighting the benefits of healthy food and a green living environment at the Health Square. The square contributes to:

• Knowledge sharing and innovation by connecting various target groups – including research, education, entrepreneurs, and governments

• Collaboration and awareness both within and outside the sector with, for instance, healthcare, (top-level) sports, and retail

Partners will have the opportunity to tell their story at the square through a film on a large screen. Additionally, they contribute to the development of the square and its programming. We are very happy with our first early adopters.Would you like your company to be part of the Health Square as well? We would love to discuss it with you!

Speakers

The kick-off of our Health Area on October 9 will feature presentations from, among others, Rob Baan and Anko Goudswaard. Rob Baan’s fresh and enlightening perspective on the food industry makes him a unique and valuable expert in the field of food and health. The Koppert Cress owner is a man on a mission: “Let’s look in a different way to fresh food and health.”

Anko Goudswaard has been an alderman for the Municipality of Westland since 2022. His portfolio includes Sports, Education, Events, and Communication. In his role, he focuses on the growth and development of Flora Campus Westland, with a strong emphasis on the theme of ‘Health.’

In addition to the opening of the Health Square, the National Food Quiz will take place on October 9 at the World Horti Center.
