Meeting Slovene Dutch Business Platform

A Slovenian delegation, consisting of expert vegetable producers, the mayor of Benedikt, a professor of vegetable production from the University of Ljubljana, representatives from the Chamber of Agriculture and Horticulture (within the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia), and members of the Slovenian Dutch Business Platform (SDBP), will soon visit the Netherlands. The main mission of the delegation will be to explore advanced greenhouse technologies that can improve Slovenian agricultural practices and inform future strategies. They will look for emerging technologies and key innovations while also building connections with potential Dutch partners in the greenhouse horticulture sector. These collaborations will be crucial for overcoming production challenges, strengthening the Slovenian food system, and understanding future market trends. This initiative will be particularly important as Slovenia focuses on improving self-sufficiency in vegetables and fruits. Organized by the SDBP and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia – Chamber of Agriculture and Horticulture, the visit will focus on exchanging knowledge and best practices, building international business relationships, gaining expertise in high-tech, modern, and sustainable agriculture, and exploring the latest developments in greenhouse vegetable production.
