Recent project: 30 multi-layered growth chambers at SESVanderHave
As an example of a recent project in the field of international farming, Certhon points at the thirty multi-layered growth chambers they realized for SESVanderHave. These growth chambers include the whole climate, lighting, heating and irrigation systems, for the cultivation of sugar beet seeds. The normal development process of sugar beet varieties takes ten years. With the research center of SESVanderHave, they can make the development process much better ánd faster. In this state-of-the-art research centre, the company can apply independent climate control in each compartment and analyze all growth factors in their finest details, regardless of the weather or season. This is a huge benefit, as the climate patterns, soil types and diseases widely vary between the different countries that SESVanderHave supplies to. They always create the perfect climate which results in homogeneous flowering of the sugar beet plant.
