TNO helps suppliers in greenhouse horticultures sector with collective research and product development TNO is an independent research organization that was set up to help business with innovation. At the TNO knowledge institute, 2800 experts work daily to develop new technologies and apply them in collaboration with the business community. Greenhouse horticulture is an important spearhead of TNO. Together with the Hortivation foundation we have developed a five-year collective research program with three topics:

Innovative greenhouse Structural design. TNO has developed the CASTA / greenhouse construction program for this purpose 
2. Decision support for the design of greenhouses worldwide. TNO is developing the SIOM program (System Integration and Optimization Model) in collaboration with Hortivation.
3. Digitization. TNO has knowledge of sensors, data collection, data analysis and business models with which we help suppliers to develop new services such as growing as a service.

In addition, we help individual companies with product development on the above topics.
