Mini lecture: the pros and cons of biological pesticides

A mini lecture by Certis Europe, organized for students and young professionals

Event in English

Crop protection is a crucial part of growing crops. Developments are going really fast and as a company you have to go along, because stagnation means decline. Biological solutions are becoming increasingly important and used by large growers in these developments. But do these biological pesticides (biorationals) work just as well as chemical pesticides? And aren't prices much higher?

Adrian Procopio (research specialist Certis Innovation Center) and Wendy Martin (lecturer in Horticulture at University of Applied Sciences Inholland) are happy to discuss this during a mini-lecture at World Horti Center. The topic "Biological crop protection" is central. What are the pros and cons of biological crop protection?

After the mini lecture at World Horti Center's office garden, Certis takes the group to their Research Innovation Center in World Horti Center's research greenhouses.
