World Horti Center is the global knowledge and innovation centre for international greenhouse horticulture. Each year, we welcome over 40,000 visitors from around the world. During a guided tour of around 90 minutes, specialized guides will present innovative solutions, leading companies, and our theme squares, which focus on key challenges in horticulture.

Introduction to Dutch Horticulture
This tour offers a broad overview of Dutch horticulture: how a greenhouse works, which basic techniques are used, and the role the sector plays on a global scale. The tour also provides an extensive focus on the World Horti Center concept – its structure, purpose, and the collaboration between entrepreneurs, educational institutions, research organizations, and government.
Who is it for?
Ideal for visitors with little or no prior knowledge of horticulture who want to get to know the sector better. Also suitable for international delegations and general business visitors.

Collaboration – The Silent Power of Success
An in-depth tour focused on collaboration as the foundation of Dutch horticulture. You’ll discover how companies, competitors, government bodies, knowledge institutions, and educational organizations work together on innovation and solutions. World Horti Center itself is a living example of this: a breeding ground for horticultural innovations, with a focus on inspiration, connection and knowledge-sharing.
Who is it for?
This tour is ideal for government delegations, policymakers, educational and research institutions, and organizations involved in developing a horticultural cluster or region.

Technology – Smart Solutions in the Greenhouse
For those who want to understand and experience the technology behind horticulture. This tour focuses on the latest technologies in greenhouse construction, water management, energy efficiency, climate control, and automation. You’ll learn about today’s innovations and the solutions the sector is developing for the future.
Who is it for?
Growers, technical advisors, innovators, and engineers. Also interesting for parties looking to apply horticultural technology in other sectors – or bring external technologies into horticulture.

Plant & Cultivation – Putting the Plant First
This tour is all about the plant. From breeding and crop protection to nutrients, water management, and plant health. You’ll gain insights into the latest developments and techniques for monitoring and improving plants, as well as for making them more resistant. This tour helps you adopt a plant-centric mindset and apply it in practice.
Who is it for?
For professionals with an agricultural or biological background: growers, advisors, researchers, and specialists in plant health or cultivation techniques.

Cultivation for Compounds, Health, Power of Plants, WaterWise and Value Chain are part of this tour.
Combined tour: Taste & Feel Tour
This combined tour starts at World Horti Center, where you’ll take part in one of the thematic tours (please select your preferred tour in the booking form below). After your visit to World Horti Center, you’ll head to Tomatoworld, where you’ll arrive just five minutes later. Here, an experience in a high-tech field lab awaits, with a focus on data-driven cultivation and robotics. An expert guide will explain how Dutch growers cultivate their products in innovative ways. You’ll see bumblebees in action and feel how the tomato plants grow in an ideal climate. Once all your questions about cultivation and technology have been answered, you’ll enter the Tomatoworld “candy store”, where, during the season, you can taste various tomato varieties. You’ll also learn more about the characteristics and possible uses of these varieties.
Please note: transportation between World Horti Center and Tomatoworld is not included – you must arrange your own transport.
Practical information
What’s the duration of a tour?
A tour takes approximately 90 minutes. We recommend scheduling at least 2.5 hours for your visit. The guided tour is an inspiring introduction, but there’s much more to discover at World Horti Center. After the tour, you’re free to explore our building independently, to learn more about top-level companies and dive deeper into specific themes.
What are the costs of a tour?
- General/thematic tour: €650 per group
- Combined tour Taste & Feel: €950 per group
- All prices are excluding VAT
How large can a group be?
Each tour can accommodate up to 20 participants. For larger groups, please contact us to receive a customized offer.
